In 2001, Adolph and his wife, Elizabeth conducted a six month study to ascertain whether the incredible popularity of the salts among those who used them could be expanded to a wider audience. The enthusiastic acceptance of the seasoning was immediate and they began production in a small (very small) manufacturing facility on their farm in Chautauqua County, NY. Adolph's talented background in manufacturing allowed for continued growth of the manufacturing facility. Elizabeth Morando continues with expanding sales and operates as the company's CEO and spokesperson for the product and company.

The Borsari Food Company was formed in 2002 after a market study showed that a seasoning salt based on Borsari founder Adolph G. Morando's family's recipe would be successful. Morando's maternal grandmother, Adelceesa Pirani Borsari, brought the recipe to America from the province of Emilia, Italy when she immigrated in 1914. She gave the recipe to her grandson, Adolph, as a gift and because he was the namesake of her beloved husband, Adolph. Mr. Morando produced the salts for friends and family for nearly 25 years before deciding to test their commercial marketability.
